Counselling

Counselling is a process people seek when they want to change something in their lives, or simply explore their thoughts and feelings in more depth. This can enable the client to focus on feelings, experiences or behaviour with a goal to facilitating positive change.

Counselling is a type of talking therapy that involves sharing what is troubling you in a safe and supportive environment with a trained professional, who will help you, the client to see things more clearly, possibly from a different viewpoint and it allows you to discuss your problems and any difficult feelings you encounter, in a safe, confidential environment.. Being able to express yourself and open up to someone who isn’t a friend or family member, allows you to work through and overcome a wide range of issues including relationship difficulties, issues with confidence, loss and addiction.

I am a qualified anger management/ aggression replacement therapist; I use techniques including CBT, DBT, emotional support, person-centred therapy and integrative. Through these various techniques I can help you gain clarity, challenge self-limiting beliefs, and develop new perspectives, opening up new possibilities, expand awareness, and enabling you to make massive changes in your lives.

Counselling is:

  • The process that occurs when a client and counsellor set aside time to explore difficulties which may include the stressful or emotional feelings of the client.

  • The act of helping the client to see things more clearly, possibly from a different view-point. This can enable the client to focus on feelings, experiences or behaviour, with a goal of facilitating positive change.

  • A relationship of trust. Confidentiality is paramount to successful counselling. Professional counsellors will usually explain their policy on confidentiality. They may, however, be required by law to disclose information if they believe that there is a risk to life.

Life Coaching

At its core, life coaching is about empowering clients to unlock their full potential, overcome obstacles, and achieve their goals. In essence, it is about helping people become happy in their lives. One of the reasons why life coaching is so powerful is its focus on the present and the future. I provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their aspirations, values, and beliefs, and work towards aligning their actions with their true desires.

Unlike therapy, which often delves into past experiences and traumas, life coaching concentrates on the present moment and the steps needed to create a fulfilling future. By helping clients clarify their visions, set authentic and soul-inspired goals, I can help clients to move forward with purpose and intention to become the person they really want to be. Life coaching offers a unique perspective and tools that facilitate personal growth and transformation without digging into the past.
